🧭 My Federal Money Timeline

Every age that changes your federal money math, on one line — from your first TSP catch-up year to maximum Social Security.

Works offline — your inputs never leave this device. How that works

  1. Age 50 · 2025

    TSP catch-up begins

Contribute above the elective deferral limit starting the year you turn 50.

  2. Age 57 · 2032

    Your MRA

Minimum Retirement Age: MRA+10 opens (reduced), or immediate retirement with 30 years.

  3. Age 57–62 · 2032

    FERS supplement window

Immediate unreduced retirees before 62 draw the annuity supplement until it ends at 62.

  4. Age 60 · 2035

    Age 60 + 20 years = unreduced

An immediate unreduced annuity needs only 20 years at age 60. TSP super catch-up also runs 60–63.

  5. Age 62 · 2037

    The 1.1% switch

Retiring 62+ with 20+ years earns the 1.1% multiplier — a permanent 10% bigger pension. Social Security can start (reduced).

    Compare at 62
  6. Age 67 · 2042

    Social Security FRA

Full retirement age for those born 1960+ — claiming later than 62 permanently raises the check.

  7. Age 70 · 2045

    Max Social Security

Delayed retirement credits stop at 70 — no benefit to waiting longer.

Eligibility combinations (MRA+30, 60+20, 62+5, MRA+10 reduced) are summarized from OPM's FERS eligibility rules; your official eligibility is determined by OPM from your service record. Want these dates in your calendar? The free kit exports them as .ics.
